© CaliforniaArchitectCE.com CAB Requirements Resources & Reference Contact us California Architect Continuing Education Requirement California Senate Bill 1608 and Business & Professions Code section 5600.05 require (as condition of license renewal) all architects licensed in the State of California to complete a continuing education course covering California disabled access law.   Basic Requirements Licensees must: • Provide documentation from the course provider to the California Architects Board (CAB) with the renewal application. • Certify on the license renewal application that s/he has completed the required coursework.   Hours of Coursework Required Five hours every renewal cycle (two years) for all licensees.
